Why is your minimum package duration 1.5 hours?

To ensure every child receives a high-quality design without being rushed, we have a 1.5-hour minimum booking for local events within 10 mile radius of Wokingham. A 1-hour slot leaves zero buffer time for party guests arriving late, children taking a moment to decide on a design, or adding extra details and glitter.(Please note: For bookings further away, our minimum booking duration is 2 hours due to travel time and setup logistics)

We paint approximately 10 to 12 detailed, full-face designs per hour, or up to 15 speed/cheek designs.

Painting at a speed faster than 15 children per hour severely compromises design quality, safety, and the child's overall experience. Professional face painting isn't just about paint on skin, it includes essential micro-steps for every single guest:• Transition time: Getting children in and out of the chair, settling them, and helping them pick a design.• Gentle care & reassurance: Taking a few extra moments to soothe nervous or hesitant children so they feel safe and comfortable.• Hygiene & kit maintenance: Continuously loading paint, rinsing, and sanitizing brushes to uphold strict safety standards.• The mirror reveal: Giving each child that special, magical moment to look in the mirror and admire their transformation!Pushing past 15 children per hour forces an artist to rush, creating an assembly-line feel rather than a fun, memorable experience.

What if I have a small number of children attending?

If you have 10 or fewer children, our standard 1.5-hour minimum booking times still apply.  However, smaller groups get a luxury VIP experience! With extra time per child, your party benefits from premium extras, including extra-detailed designs and glitter tattoos included in the price.

Do you offer themed designs?

Yes! Once booked, we will get in touch with you to discuss and agree on any specific themes for your event (e.g., superheroes, princesses, animals, adult glam or seasonal events). For busy events, we bring custom-tailored menu boards to help children and adults quickly choose their designs and keep the line moving smoothly.

What happens if I have more guests than the package limit?

Accepted Answer

If your guest count exceeds the maximum package capacity or you wish for a more relaxed pace, we recommend adding extra 30-minutes (+£35 per half hour) so no child (adult)  misses out. If time allows, you are also welcome to book our 3-hour Mega Bash party package.Please note that for maximum capacity bookings (such as 30 children in a 2-hour slot), painting must run continuously throughout the full 2 hours. If party activities are structured so that all  guests stop to eat and play games at the exact same time, painting time is reduced and not every guest may get painted. Allowing guests to come up to be painted gradually throughout the event often works perfectly to ensure everyone gets a turn!

Do you offer other services besides face painting?

Yes! Alongside our face painting service, we also offer glitter tattoos, face gems, and a glitter bar. Please get in touch to discuss your specific requirements so we can tailor the perfect package for your event.

Not at all! We offer beautiful, sophisticated designs for adults, too. Whether it is a festival look, a corporate event, or just joining in on the party fun alongside the kids, anyone can get painted!

Can we hire more than one face painter for larger events?

Yes! If you are hosting a large event, corporate function, or big party, we work with a network of trusted professional face painters and can provide additional artists to keep queues moving smoothly and ensure all your guests get painted.

How far in advance should I book?

Weekend dates and peak seasonal periods book up quickly. We recommend booking as soon as you get your date and location secured.

What age limits apply for face painting?

For insurance and skin safety reasons, we strictly paint children aged 3 years and older. Children under 3 have delicate, sensitive skin and often find sitting still for face painting overwhelming. For under-3s, we are happy to offer a quick arm swatch or stencil with parent permission.

We use strictly professional, cosmetically approved face paints and cosmetic-grade glitters that are skin-safe, non-toxic, and hypoallergenic. We do not use craft paints or retail-grade novelty sets.

How do you maintain hygiene at events?

Hygiene is our highest priority. We use a fresh sponge for every single face, sanitize our brushes continuously in clean water with professional brush cleaners, and thoroughly sanitize our kit between events.

Can you paint children who are unwell or have skin conditions?

For the safety of all guests, we cannot paint anyone showing signs of contagious illness (cold sores, conjunctivitis, open cuts, chickenpox, runny noses) or severe skin conditions like active eczema or psoriasis on the face. In these cases, we are happy to offer a small design on the arm instead.

No! We arrive early to set up before your booked session begins and pack down after it ends.

Can you provide a gazebo for outdoor events?

Accepted Answer

We prefer that the venue or event organizers provide suitable shelter whenever possible. However, for large events running 4 hours or more, we can supply a heavy-duty commercial gazebo. If a gazebo is required for outdoor bookings lasting less than 4 hours, a £30 setup fee applies.

We bring a fully self-contained professional kit, including our own setup. Our face paints are water-based and easily removable. Simply apply liquid soap or baby shampoo with warm water directly onto the dry painted skin first to break down the pigment, then gently rinse with a soft washcloth. Avoid using baby wipes, as they can cause skin irritation.

Our 1.5-hour package is reserved strictly for bookings within the local Wokingham area. Because shorter bookings require the same amount of preparation, kit sanitization, setup, and teardown as longer events, traveling further afield for a 1.5-hour slot is logistically less practical. For events outside Wokingham 10 mile radius, our minimum booking duration is 2 hours to ensure travel time and operational costs are balanced.

Travel within the standard 20 mile radius is fully included in our package rates. For locations outside our primary radius, a modest travel fee may apply to cover mileage and travel time.

How do payments work?

To secure your booking, we require a 20% deposit. To keep administrative tasks simple and avoid any on-the-day connection errors, remaining balances must be paid via bank transfer 24 hours prior to the event, or in cash upon arrival before painting begins.
